Summer Tech Huddle Fun

Birmingham Tech and IoD West Midlands continue the tech huddle collaboration, supported not only by the awesome tech community but primarily University College Birmingham and Bruntwood SciTech, who made this special gathering happen with their sponsorship.

350+ super folks from awesome start-ups, sizzling SMEs, cracking corporates and steamingly special stakeholders joined in to be fed and watered by My Flamingos🍸(https://www.myflamingos.co.uk/), Street Kitchen Brother’s Greek BBQ, (https://streetkitchenbrothers.co.uk/) and English Indian (https://www.theenglishindian.co.uk/)

Taking the chance to mingle and chit-chat the gathered audience heard from organisers and sponsors,

“We do this because we’re bringing together people from all corners of the tech ecosystem”, highlighted Birmingham Tech Founder and CEO and IoD Tech Ambassador Yiannis Maos.

“..introducing new businesses to the world of the Institute of Directors marrying up the knowledge and mentor capabilities with high-growth businesses is vital”, commented Andy Wilkinson – OWB Founding Partner and Chair IoD Greater Birmingham.

Rebecca Hollington, Director of Brand Development at UCB, highlighted UCB’s growth. Celebrating their incredible facilities which are highly respected by employers and the wider industry for providing career-focused education and training, along with UCB’s burgeoning partnership with both IoD WM and Birmingham Tech.

Jamie Clyde of Bruntwood SciTech outlined their unique role in providing specialist business support which enables companies in the science and technology sector to form, collaborate, scale and grow.
