OWB Account Manager turned Dragon for the day at Windsor Academy Trust’s Enterprise Day

By 2nd August 2016News

Year 7 students at Windsor High School pitched their revolutionary, new business ideas to a board of business teachers and consultants, including our very own Account Manager Richard Thomas, in their annual Dragons’ Den Enterprise Day.
Organised on Wednesday 6th July by the brilliant business department at Windsor High School and Sixth Form, Richard acted as a business consultant in the morning, assisting students with the evolution of their business ideas, including product branding and design, marketing strategy and implementation, as well as working out the finances to ensure the business would turn a profit… Pretty serious stuff for Year 7 students!
Finally, as a Dragon in the afternoon, Richard listened to the students’ pitches, ultimately deciding whether to invest.
The students were split into nine teams, developing their products from a choice of sunglasses, smoothies or perfume/aftershave. The session allowed the students to get their first look at enterprise as part of the ‘Windsor Enterprise Journey’.
All of the businesses pitches were fantastic, displaying an immense amount of creativity and enthusiasm for their proposed products.
Unfortunately, we may have lost our Account Manager though, as Richard has invested in the revolutionary new ‘Eclipse’ sunglasses and sparkling ‘Summer Vibes’ perfume, and is waiting for the returns to come rolling in as we speak.
