OWB is proud to support BMW i3 World Record

By 21st July 2016News

Here at OWB we are full of goodness this summer! We are supporting Simon Summerby-Bent (Colliers International), Nigel Freshman (Smooth Radio Breakfast Presenter) and Richard Dean (Rybrook BMW Warwick) in their challenge to break not just one world record but two! The two records the trio are attempting to break are; the fastest time to drive a BMW i3 between Lands End to John O’Groats and the shortest charging time in an Electronic Vehicle.
Simon said about the challenge ‘the idea came from my son Flynn who received the Guinness World Book of Records as a stocking filler. I have always been an early adopter of new tech and gadgets and I wanted to something unique and environmental friendly, so I thought why not break 2 world records with the BMW i3. I am determined to raise as much money as possible and so I teamed up with Nigel Freshman and Rybrook BMW Warwick.’
The trio will be raising funds for the three chosen charities: The Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital, Whizz-Kids and Global’s Make Some Noise.
Their 886 mile journey will start in Lands End on Sunday 31st of July. We would like to wish them good luck on their journey.  To sponsor and to find out more click here.
